Recently I have installed Orchestrator and Orchestrator
Studio in our Organisation’s Centre of excellence lab. I would like to share my
experience over the same by this post. It took more than one week to install
and configure both. I have installed the same on JDEdwards 9.2.0.3 release.
Please note that even if IOT Orchestrator is supported from 9.1.5 tools release
IOT Orchestrator studio is supported from 9.2.0.2 tools release.
I have installed the Orchestrator and
Orchestrator Studio on 9.2.0.3 tools release. Pre requisite for the same is as
follows.
1. Should have installed full set
of JDEdwards 9.2.0.3 or above
2. Should have deployed an AIS
instance so that we can use the same to build Orchestrator
3.
Download IoT_Orchestrator_Components_3.0.0 from Update center
4. Download Download Orchestration_Samples_1.1.0
from Update center
Configuring IOT Orchestrator
1.
Create a AIS instance to hold
Orchestrator.
2.
Unzip Orchestration_Samples_1.1.0
and locate JDE_IOT_Orchestrator_XML directory and paste it to a location on AIS
server.
3.
Make sure this directory is
read writable.
4.
Access AIS server instance on server
manager and in general section configure Orchestrator like below.
Installation and
configuration of Orchestrator Studio
Install ADF
runtime
Please note that ADF runtime
is supported only on Oracle database as of now. Check with Oracle if there is
any method we can install it on other databases
1.
Install ADF runtime
2.
Extend Weblogic Domain for ADF runtime
3.
Create a managed server for ADF runtime
4.
Applying JRF Template to The New Managed
server
Deploying
Orchestrator Studio
Please
see 2.5.1 section of “Internet of Things
Orchestrator Guide
Release 9.2”
(E65704-06)
You need to install
this using ANT scripts. As Orchestrator is already configured on server manager,
you will be able access Orchestrator Studio through the same AIS link as well.
